40 cu ft Steel Acetylene MC & 40 cu ft Steel Oxy-Acetylene Welding Cylinder Set
Need something a little bigger for your next welding project? This larger oxy-acetylene welding cylinder set combo is the perfect size. This combo set includes one new 40 cubic foot B steel acetylene cylinder with a new CGA520 valve installed and one new 40 cubic foot steel oxygen cylinder with a CGA540 valve installed.
Oxygen is used in small amounts as an addition to other gases in welding applications; typically, as 2-5% addition to argon. It enhances arc stability and reduces the surface tension of the molten metal, increasing wetting of the solid metal.
These are thick-walled top-quality steel construction cylinders, finished in rust-resistant paints, black, red, or grey paint for acetylene, and green for oxygen.

Please note: Acetylene cylinders require a shell inspection every 10 years. They also require an initial porous filler inspection at 5-20 years from the date of the manufacturer. This test is to be done no sooner than 5 years and no later than 20 years from the date of manufacturer. The Shell inspection is marked with an ‘S’ and the Porous Fill inspection is marked with an ‘F’.
