One of our largest 250 cu ft. steel inert cylinder, with an installed CGA580 valve. Great for all of your inert gas needs including argon, helium, nitrogen, mixed, and specialty gases. Extra-large capacity for the big jobs. High-quality Sherwood CGA580 valve installed. And this one is made in the USA!
Nitrogen can be used in HVAC applications for purging refrigerant lines and completing scale-free brazing jobs. Inert gases can be used for purging refrigerant from tubing, flowing and preventing oxidation while brazing, and pressurizing a system for leak detection or a coolant / cooling system pressure test. You’ll also find nitrogen useful for getting oil out of the way before pulling a vacuum.
You can also use nitrogen to help clean out a drain line. However, you’ll want to be careful; if the PVC pipe isn’t secure, you could create leaks and/or severe structural damage if you flow a compressed gas under too much pressure.
Overall, you can use nitrogen for applications where you’d usually use compressed air. Anytime you work with any kind of inert gas, you need a flow meter and regulator; as opposed to a standard gauge manifold.
Gas blends containing nitrogen can increase the mechanical properties of alloys containing nitrogen and prevent pitting corrosion in welding applications.

Residential vs Commercial Address
Initial shipping charges calculated in the Shopping Cart are figured using a residential shipping rate unless you have previously entered a commercial address in the ship-to field during a previous checkout session. Deliveries to a commercial address are typically cheaper than deliveries to a residential address and will be reflected on the checkout page once the full address has been entered and the system confirms it is a commercial address.
LTL Freight Shipments
For larger freight or custom orders, we ask you to allow for a 7-10 business day lead time for product preparation and shipping set up. A customer service representative may reach out to you requesting additional information such as liftgate needs, receiving hours, or other order details. Once your order has shipped, you will receive tracking information. LTL Freight Costs will be calculated on the day of shipment and may vary from your initial estimate, resulting in additional charges.
Time to Ship
Product is shipped from Minnesota. Transport time is usually between 1 and 5 days. Orders typically ship out the following business day after the order has been placed. Larger orders, and especially those going via a contracted freight service, may take additional time.
